1st Half Summer Term As part of our literacy lessons, we will be reading the book ‘Hidden Figures’ written by Margaret Lee Shetterly. We will use this story to inspire our work which will include non-chronological reports and both formal and informal letters. Our Mathematics lessons will be focusing on the geometry topics of position and direction. During our D&T lessons this half term, we will be learning about bridges and their structures before designing, building and testing our own. Our Science lessons will be all about Earth and Space where we will learn about the Polish Astronomer, Nicolaus Copernicus. |
Our PE days will be Monday and Wednesday. On Mondays, we will be focussing on rounders, learning the rules and skills needed for the game. On Wednesdays, we will be developing our hockey skills and knowledge.

2nd Half Summer Term As part of our literacy and history lessons, we will be exploring our local area. We will gather research in order to write a literary essay based on the question: How long has Telford been here and how has it changed over time? Our Mathematics lessons will be focusing on measurement, particularly volume, and conversion of measurements. During our Art lessons we will be developing our drawing skills. Our Science lessons will be all about Animals including humans. |
Our PE days will be Monday (rounders) and Wednesday. On Wednesdays, we will be focussing on athletics ready for our sports day races.
