William Reynolds Primary School and Nursery

Tuesday 17th October saw Year 4 taking a walk down to visit St Michael’s Church in
Madeley. As part of their RE work, they have been thinking about ‘Sacred Places’
with a particular focus on places that are sacred to Christians and Muslims. In their
lessons, they have looked at pictures of churches and mosques and watched videos
about them, but if was a fantastic experience to be able to go into a church and see
and touch what they had been learning about in their lessons.
Year 4 want to say a big thank you to Reverend Freeman, who showed the children around
the church and allowed the teachers to dress up in her robes so the children could see what vicars and priests wear.
