Friday 31^st March 2023  Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery Visit

To celebrate the end of our History focus on the History of Space Travel,  Year 2 visited Shrewsbury Museum to explore a moon themed exhibition along with a hands-on art workshop.

The moon exhibition complimented our history learning perfectly as the children had the opportunity to encounter astonishing historical artefacts that included photographs, newspapers and even touchable moon rock!  The photographs from the visit show what a memorable, exciting day the children shared.

During the art workshop, the children worked creatively to produce their own pictures of the moon.  The children thought carefully about including tone and texture and were extremely proud of their finished pieces of art.  Look out for a display back in school to celebrate all the amazing work from our History learning.
